Job Summary:
Help minimize the risk of job-related accidents by training and guiding all employees with a focus on safety. Monitor operations to eliminate hazardous activities. Develop policies to promote occupational health and safety (CalOSHA) awareness. Oversee facility and ensure environmental, transportation, and safety compliance. Facilitates employee relations and solving human resource issues on behalf of Human Resources Department.
Job Duties:
· Oversees inspection schedule, reviews reports, etc.
· Oversees safety training schedule and ensure that all employees are compliant with training certifications
· Verifies compliance with health and safety regulations and ensures all necessary records are maintained and prepared according to established guidelines.
· Investigates safety incidents to discover root cause to help minimize/eliminate repeat incidents.
· Works in conjunction with HR Manager reviewing Worker’s Compensation claims/reports
· Conducts trainings per OSHA requirements
· Ensures that all employees are compliant with training certifications.
· Ensures field environmental emergency compliance.
· Oversees collection of storm water and document as required. (Performs storm water collection, as needed.)
· Oversees/enforces vehicle/fleet safety.
· Reviews vehicle and fleet safety inspections.
· Conducts vehicle and driving safety inspections and completes reports, as needed.
· Completes and submits safety related documents requested by clients.
· Visit multiple jobsites per shift, as required.
· Conduct safety inspections and fills reports for each job site visit, as required.
· Enforces safety policy and reports all safety violations to supervisor.
· Promotes a "Safety First" culture throughout company
