Job Summary
The Safety Coordinator works with the safety team to ensure the company is in compliance and adheres to Occupational Safety and Health Administration guidelines.

Qualifications
Experience of working with a safety program required.
Experience in the maritime/shipyard industry is preferred BUT not required.
GED or high school diploma required.
Associate degree or bachelor's degree in safety, industrial health, or related field preferred.
Must have a valid Driver's License.
Must pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
Background check required.
Physical requirements
Position requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, overhead work, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. Must be able to work in tight, confined spaces, such as accessing manholes, and awkward positions for long periods of time. Must be able to conduct inside and outside work in all temperatures. Use of manufacturing equipment. Work in environment where harmful dusts, fogs, fumes, gases, etc. might be present and the use of a respirator may be required.
Ability to work in inclement weather conditions/areas that at times are not environmentally controlled. Able to move/lift/pull/push 50 lbs. May be required to work prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
