Job Summary:
The Safety Personnel is responsible for promoting and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment. This role ensures adherence to all applicable safety regulations, company policies, and international standards, including ISO 45001, while actively working to prevent workplace injuries, illnesses, and environmental incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor workplace activities to ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
Identify hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions
Carry out incident investigation and prepare reports with root cause analysis
Maintain safety records, logs, and documentation (OSHA logs, training records, etc.)
Coordinate and deliver safety training programs for employees and contractors
Implement personal protective equipment (PPE) as per PPE matrix & ensure compliance
Assist with emergency preparedness, drills, and response planning
Support environmental compliance efforts (waste handling, spill prevention, etc.)
Participate in internal and external audits for ISO systems and regulatory agencies
Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OH&S)
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred (Safety, Environmental Health)
Relevant safety certifications preferred (OSHA 10/30, CPR/First Aid, etc.)
2+ years of experience in a safety-related role (manufacturing preferred)
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and ISO standards, including ISO 45001
Excellent communication and training skills
Ability to identify hazards and implement effective solutions

Compensation:
This position offers a competitive salary range of $45,000 to $60,000 annually, based on experience, qualifications, and related skills. Additional benefits may include health insurance, paid time off, retirement options, and opportunities for professional development.
