Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, implement, and manage safety programs and policies to promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
2. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, ensure safety equipment is in good working order, and ensure safety procedures are being followed.
3. Organize and lead safety training sessions for employees at all levels of the organization.
4. Investigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
5. Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies, including OSHA, and ensure timely reporting of incidents and accidents.
6. Collaborate with management and employees to identify and mitigate potential safety risks.
7. Continuously monitor and analyze safety performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
8. Develop and maintain safety documentation, including safety manuals, training materials, and incident reports.
9. Lead the safety committee and foster a collaborative approach to safety across the organization.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in safety management or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in safety leadership.
3. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) certification is preferred.
4. Extensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and industrial safety best practices.
5. Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety programs.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey safety information to employees at all levels of the organization.
7. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze safety data and identify trends.
8. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
9. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to prioritize safety.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
