A growing autonomous vehicle technology company is hiring Safety Drivers in Dallas, TX for a rare opportunity to sit at the wheel of self-driving vehicle technology that's actively operating on public roads right now.

Full benefits. Multiple shift options. No CDL required.

Pave Talent is hiring on behalf of our client, a leading developer in the autonomous vehicle and delivery robot industry. Their technology is actively operating on Dallas roads in partnership with one of the world's largest ride-share platforms — this is not a test lab project, it's a live, commercial deployment. Dallas is a priority expansion city and this team is growing fast.

You'll join the Operations Team as an Autonomous Vehicle Safety Driver, working directly alongside engineers and QA teams in the field. Your job is to monitor and support the AV system in real-world driving conditions across Dallas streets — collecting data, flagging edge cases, and ensuring every mile meets the highest safety standards.

This is a full-time, long-term contract role with full benefits through the employer of record. You're integrated into the client's operations team daily, not treated like a temp.

'

• Operate autonomous vehicles safely and lawfully to collect critical data on system performance and real-world environmental factors

• Monitor vehicle behavior during in-field testing and flag anything outside normal operating parameters

• Prepare vehicles for daily operations including pre-shift safety checks and system readiness review

• Interact professionally with riders, engineers, and operations leaders to share feedback from the field

• Submit detailed shift reports supporting system improvements and operational decisions

• Professional driving background: AV operator, app-based driving (Uber, Lyft, DoorDash), delivery driving, CDL, driving instructor, or similar role where you drove for the majority of your shift

• Valid US driver's license held for 3+ years

• Clean driving record with no DUIs, drug, or alcohol-related offenses in the last 5 years

• If you have an Uber Driver account, it must be in good standing with no deactivations

• Strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset

• Authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship

• Must be local to or willing to commute to the Dallas, TX area (on-site only, no remote)
