Crandall Corporation is looking to hire a Safety/Health/Environmental Specialist in Raleigh, NC or surrounding cities.Duties and responsibilitiesDrivingMust have dependable transportation.Operate vehicles in a safe manner without violations.Must have a clean driving record.Capable of driving to customer locations in the Southeast region.Compliance SpecialistDevelop and maintain written safety and health plans.Develop and maintain written environmental plans.Assist/complete permit applications.Perform audits and inspections.Conduct training to small to large groups of people.Work both individually and as a team.Be intimately familiar with OSHA, EPA, DOT regulations.Work with clients.Paperwork/AdministrativeMaintain and enter detailed notes.Thorough and accurate completion of reports/correspondence.Submit weekly time and expense reports.Submit task requests to admin in a timely fashion.Develop written plans and correspondence.Work with administrative staff to complete deliverables.QualificationsThe following are some of the skills and qualifications that are required for the position:College degree preferred; sciences preferred.Must be a self-starter and take initiative.Excellent social/people skills.Proficient in MS Office products.Meet deadlines.Perform with minimal supervision.Clean driving record.Ability to think logically.Good reasoning skills.Attention to detail.Be prompt, thorough, and detailed.Must have dependable transportation.Working conditionsThis position works in outdoor and indoor environments, automotive service and repair shops, and industrial manufacturing facilities. The atmospheric conditions may include cold and warm temperature extremes, humidity, and occasionally mist oil or dusty environments. The position may require walking/working in dirty, dusty environments. The position also requires driving a vehicle for extended periods. This position requires overnight travel that may occasionally consist of two to three nights per week.Physical requirementsThis position requires the ability to drive a vehicle for extended periods. This position requires seating while driving for up to three to four hours, but possibly longer depending on customer location.
