Oversee and ensure the safety of employees, subcontractors, and the public during Chimes DC operations
Enforce corporate, federal, state, and local safety/health standards
Develop, evaluate, and update project-specific safety programs with the Director of QA & Compliance
Conduct quarterly safety surveys, inspections, and job hazard/risk assessments; report findings and recommend corrective action
Deliver an annual plan for meeting health, safety, and environmental regulatory requirements
Coordinate and teach safety training, including OSHA 10-hour and 30-hour courses; schedule re-certifications
Ensure PPE and on-site security compliance
May supervise staff with safety responsibilities, including guidance, complaint handling, and discipline recommendations
Serve as backup point of contact for OSHA or other regulatory reviews
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
Experience:
Undergraduate degree in safety or related field preferred
OSHA #501 General Industry Outreach Trainer authorization (required); CPR/First-Aid Instructor preferred
5+ years of professional safety and health experience
Experience with hospital standards, OSHA/DOT/EPA regulations, and CIMS-certified facilities preferred
Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Valid drivers license (3+ years); must be 25+ to drive a 15-passenger van
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and work in varied conditions
