Safety Inspector - Pipeline & Meter Station Construction

Scope: Pipeline construction and meter station work

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Safety Inspector to support a pipeline and meter station construction project in Salt Lake City, Utah. This is a position requiring a hands-on safety professional to monitor field activities, enforce compliance, and support a strong safety culture across all phases of construction.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily safety inspections across pipeline and meter station work sites
• Monitor contractor and crew compliance with OSHA regulations and client/company safety standards
• Identify, document, and help resolve safety hazards and non-conformances
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety orientations, and JSA/JHA reviews with crews
• Investigate incidents, near-misses, and safety concerns; complete required documentation and reporting
• Maintain accurate daily reports, inspection logs, and compliance records
• Coordinate with construction management and client representatives on safety matters
• Ensure proper use of PPE, equipment, and adherence to permit/work procedures
• Support emergency response planning and execution as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3-5 years of safety inspection experience on pipeline and/or heavy civil construction projects
• Experience with meter station construction preferred
• OSHA 30 certification required (OSHA 500/510 a plus)
• Strong working knowledge of DOT/PHMSA regulations preferred
• Ability to travel/relocate to Salt Lake City, UT for the duration of the project
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
