Duties and Responsibilities
Lead daily safety and loss prevention operations within the distribution center
Develop and conduct OSHA and company safety training programs
Perform job hazard analyses and implement safe work practices
Conduct routine facility safety inspections and implement corrective actions
Maintain accident reports, inspection records, safety logs, and training documentation
Investigate workplace accidents and coordinate return-to-work programs
Administer and oversee workers' compensation activities
Partner with staffing agencies to manage drug and alcohol testing programs
Conduct regular safety meetings and reinforce workplace safety policies
Interpret safety regulations and develop new procedures as needed
Perform Job Safety Audits and recommend process improvements
Assist departments with accident prevention initiatives and safety planning
Investigate employee safety concerns and recommend corrective actions
Prepare weekly and monthly safety reports for leadership
Compile and maintain safety training materials and compliance records
Collaborate with Loss Prevention to support facility security and operational goals
Report facility and equipment conditions requiring maintenance or repair
Requirements and Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience required
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, workplace safety programs, First Aid, CPR, and OSHA 500 standards preferred
Experience managing workers' compensation programs and injury management
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
Knowledge of Hazard Communication Standards
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to interact effectively with employees, management, and outside agencies
Ability to lift up to 10 lbs, climb stairs, and work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
