Safety Manager

Lead and manage the company's EHS systems and safety database. Oversee all certifications, compliance programmes, and renewals. Drive onboarding and ongoing safety training initiatives. Manage DOT, FMCSA, and driver compliance programmes. Maintain OSHA compliance, including OSHA 300 logs and reporting. Conduct Toolbox Talks, Stand Downs, and internal safety meetings. Lead incident investigations, including root cause analysis. Develop and manage safety incentive programmes. Prepare and oversee project safety documentation (AHA, JHA, exposure plans, etc.). Perform site safety inspections and ensure equipment compliance. Support bid processes, prequalification, and insurance reviews. Track and improve EMR/MOD performance and report safety metrics. Provide consistent field presence across 10-20 active job sites weekly. Build and scale the safety team as the company grows.

A successful Safety Manager should have: 3+ years of EHS management experience in construction environments. 3+ years of civil construction experience (trenching experience required). Proven experience conducting field safety audits and inspections. Strong understanding of OSHA compliance and reporting standards. OSHA 30 certification required (OSHA 510+ preferred). Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Experience with EHS systems, LMS platforms, and Microsoft Office.
