    • Plan and conduct Industrial Hygiene sampling and testing per regulatory protocol and company schedules (airborne contaminants including silica/lead, noise, and other site-specific exposures).
    • Administer respirator protection program, conduct and/or coordinate audiometric testing and hearing conservation requirements, employee compliance testing programs as required, and support the implementation of medical surveillance programs associated with industrial hygiene exposure.
    • Develop, deliver, and coordinate safety training for manufacturing and foundry operations; ensure content reflects site hazards and current procedures.

    • Using various machines and equipment such as industrial hygiene sampling equipment (air sampling pumps, organic vapor monitors), noise monitoring equipment, gas detection devices, and audiometric equipment.
    • This position is split between an office environment and manufacturing/foundry areas as business needs dictate. Travel to other company facilities and quarry locations as needed.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related field preferred; post-secondary training with equivalent relevant experience may be considered.

    • Working knowledge of MSHA requirements sufficient to advise and support quarry operations as needed.
    • Experience conducting facility inspections, incident investigations, and corrective action management.
    • Experience with industrial hygiene sampling (silica, lead, airborne contaminants) and noise monitoring; ability to calibrate and operate industrial hygiene instruments.
    • Experience with ergonomic evaluations and job hazard analysis and knowledge of PPE selection and proper use.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate technical regulatory information in a concise manner.
