Safety Manager- Commercial Construction

SAFETY MANAGER – COMMERCIAL CONSTRUCTION

A well-established General Contractor who is doing a multi-billion dollar project is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee and promote a strong safety culture across commercial construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety professional who enjoys working directly with project teams and has a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and manage safety programs across active commercial construction projects
• Conduct regular jobsite safety inspections, audits, and assessments
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
• Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards
• Lead safety orientations, toolbox talks, training, and educational programs
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns and develop corrective action plans
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and records
• Assist project teams with preconstruction safety planning and job hazard analysis
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and ensure compliance with project requirements
• Help implement and continuously improve company-wide safety initiatives
• Promote a proactive safety culture focused on accountability, communication, and continuous improvement

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of construction safety experience
• Experience with a General Contractor preferred
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards
• OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500/510 preferred
• Experience conducting jobsite inspections, audits, and safety training
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with field and project management teams
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
