Location: Hagerstown, MD
Duration: 9-15 Months (Start: 5/25)
Type: 1099 Contractor

Job Details

• Hourly Rate: $59/HR
• Per Diem: No perdiem
• Completion Bonus: $150/month
• Pay: Weekly
• Schedule: Day shift, 50 Hours a week. Mon-Fri (weekends as needed)

Project Scope

The construction safety manager will oversee the safety for a General Contractor on Commercial Warehouse build. Installation of Cold Storage Facilities.

Qualifications

Must have:

• OSHA 500 or 510
• 5+ years of Construction Safety Management
• BCSP preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct project safety inspections and employee orientations
• Monitor OSHA compliance
• Upload documentation into Procore
• Daily safety reports
• Track workforce safety compliance
• Maintain safety logs and compliance records
• Fall protection enforcement (CRITICAL priority)
• Provide safety training as needed
• Monitor worksite employees and enforce safety protocols
• Review and manage safety-related documentation and contractor correspondence
• Perform additional EHS-related tasks as required
• They expect the safety person to help shape the safety program.

Skills & Knowledge

Skills:

• Excellent public speaking and communication abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• OSHA outreach training experience (preferred)
• Professionalism and confidentiality in handling sensitive information

Knowledge:

• Strong understanding of EHS and industry regulatory standards in construction
• Ability to effectively communicate safety principles and regulations
