Safety Manager

About the Role

This position is crucial for managing safety programs and fostering a strong safety culture within an organization of approximately 250 employees. The role ensures the safety of operations, supports workers' compensation processes, and ensures compliance with relevant regulations to enhance overall safety performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead all safety initiatives across operations.
• Manage workers' compensation claims, from investigation to resolution.
• Conduct site visits, audits, and risk assessments for high-risk activities.
• Respond to incidents, including hospital visits and coordination with medical providers.
• Perform case management for injured employees, ensuring a safe return-to-work process.
• Develop and enforce safety policies tailored to high-risk environments.
• Collaborate with operations leadership to identify hazards and improve safety performance.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and other regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience in safety management within heavy construction, operations, or similar industries.
• Background in handling workers' compensation claims and case management.
• Ability to respond effectively to incidents and maintain composure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, OSHA).
