Location: Offices in Manassas, VA & Laurel, MD. Will spend part of the week in each location.

American Residential Services (ARS), the nation's largest provider of residential HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical services, is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to support our service centers in Manassas, VA and Laurel, MD.
This role is responsible for helping create and maintain a strong safety culture across multiple locations by partnering with operational leaders, supporting technicians in the field, reducing risk, improving fleet safety, conducting investigations, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory safety standards.
We are looking for a hands-on leader who can build relationships, coach employees, identify opportunities for improvement, and help drive safety performance throughout the organization.

Responsibilities:
What You'll Do
- Partner with operational leaders to promote a strong safety-first culture
- Conduct field safety audits, inspections, ride-alongs, and jobsite observations
- Investigate vehicle accidents, workplace injuries, property damage incidents, and near misses
- Identify trends and implement corrective actions to reduce risk and improve safety performance
- Lead safety meetings, training sessions, and employee safety initiatives
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and safety procedures
- Support fleet safety programs including vehicle inspections, driver accountability, and accident prevention efforts
- Track and analyze safety metrics, claims activity, and key performance indicators
- Maintain accurate records of investigations, training, compliance activities, and corrective actions
- Partner with insurance carriers, claims administrators, and internal stakeholders during investigations and claims resolution
- Provide coaching and guidance to managers, supervisors, and technicians regarding safety expectations and best practices
- Travel regularly between assigned service centers and field locations
Qualifications:
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of safety, risk management, environmental health and safety (EHS), fleet safety, or related experience
- Experience supporting field service, construction, home services, transportation, utilities, or similar industries preferred
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices
- Experience conducting incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Strong communication, coaching, and presentation skills
- Ability to influence and build relationships with employees at all levels of the organization
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- OSHA 30, CHST, ASP, CSP, or other safety certifications are a plus
