DCI is seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to oversee and enhance our workplace safety programs in various locations. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, developing and implementing safety policies, and fostering a culture of safety across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements:
Collaborate with management and employees to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement.
Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
Lead safety training sessions for employees, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and proper handling of equipment.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and training requirements: maintain necessary safety training documentation and records, including subcontractor compliance with safety program job site requirements.
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections (both job sites and office workplace conditions), and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
Travel regionally and nationwide to support culture building, safety initiatives, site inspections and training.
Initial point of contact with affected employee(s).
Manage care plans and coordinate communications with insurance companies.
Coordinate debrief sessions to determine and apply lessons learned.
Develop and oversee emergency response plans, including fire safety, first aid, and evacuation procedures.
Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and represent the company during safety inspections.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role, preferably in a service, construction, or industrial environment.
In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety best practices, and risk management principles.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels.
Excellent communication and training abilities, both verbal and written.
Certification in safety programs (e.g., OSHA 30, CSP, CHST) is a plus.
Ability to analyze safety data and trends to implement effective safety programs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
Based out of Memphis, TN headquarters and requires approximately 50% to 75% travel to job sites, vendor locations, and other DCI facilities.
