Safety Manager in Middletown, NY
At HazTek, safety isn’t just a priority — it’s our culture. As a Safety Manager, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring every team member goes home safe each day. You’ll oversee safety operations on a large-scale commercial construction project, drive compliance with OSHA standards, and promote proactive safety leadership across the site.
Provide general safety oversight across all project operations
Conduct and document daily site inspections and safety audits
Lead daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) meetings and weekly Toolbox Talks
Attend weekly progress meetings with clients to review safety performance
Oversee subcontractor compliance with site safety programs
Manage Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation safety plans
Perform and document incident investigations, including near-miss events
CHST certification required
Minimum 5+ years of direct construction safety experience
Heavy civil and excavation experience required
Experience working with high-profile client is a plus
Degree in a safety-related field preferred
OSHA 510 and/or 500 a plus
Advanced knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
