Safety Manager
Rossco Crane & Rigging is currently accepting applications for Safety Manager.
Job Summary
Primarily responsibility for leading and managing the Company’s safety initiatives and safety loss control programs, and the development of a safety and risk management culture dedicated to being “best in class”. Assures safety program is designed to comply with OSHA and other industry standards
Job Functions
- Leads development of and clearly articulates Company’s safety vision, objectives, strategies, policies, and procedures in order to build a safety culture dedicated to behaviors which lead to best in class results. ?
- Provides proactive leadership and assumes ownership of building a best in class safety culture.?
- Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions and conclusions, and monitors results to make improvements or take corrective action. ?
- Ensures safety & health training meet the needs of internal and external (client & regulating entities) requirements, so staff has the safety training to safely perform tasks and jobs. ?
- Leads incident investigations. ?
- Manages hazard assessment activities by 1)conducting and/or supervising safety inspections, and 2)analyzing inspection and incident data to identify opportunities to develop preventive and corrective practices. ?
- Develops annual plans & budgets for safety & health initiatives, including training.Manages workers comp & vehicle claims. ?
- Manages Drug and Alcohol Testing Program. ?
- Manages return to work/restricted duty program. ?
- Leads or participates in Safety Committee.
Job Qualifications
- Highly effective interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of ISN, KPA and Veriforce a plus
- 10 years experience in safety management a plus
- Bachelors degree in environmental health & safety, safety management or related field preferred
- Effective presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Coordination and oversight for EHS supplies and equipment
- Reporting and investigation
- Oil field Safety experience preferred
- Familiarity with crane/construction work preferred
- Work will be field and office
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Must have a motor vehicle record that qualifies individual to be an approved company driver as set forth by insurance
