• Traveler: $52 - $56/hour
Per Diem: $125/day (travelers only)
Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule
Hours: 58 hours/week
Schedule: Monday - Saturday (5x10s, 1x8)
Shift: 1st Shift

Project Scope
The Safety Manager will support an excavating contractor performing site grading and site utility work for a large-scale Holder data center project in Mount Prospect, IL. This role is responsible for overseeing and enforcing comprehensive safety programs across multiple subcontractors and work scopes.
The position requires a strong field presence to ensure compliance with site-specific safety plans, client requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. The Safety Manager will play a key role in planning and managing high-risk activities, supporting craft training initiatives, and maintaining accurate safety documentation.
This is a long-term contract opportunity suited for a safety professional experienced in heavy civil or excavation environments with exposure to data center or large commercial construction projects.

Qualifications
CHST certification
OSHA 510 certification
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) training
NFPA 70E training
CPR / First Aid / AED certification

Additional Requirements
Ability to work extended hours and Saturdays
Experience supporting OCIP/CCIP programs
Strong field-based safety leadership skills

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee subcontractor safety program execution
  • Manage and support OCIP/CCIP safety claims and reporting
  • Conduct safety orientations, audits, and inspections
  • Lead craft safety training and toolbox talks
  • Develop and plan high-risk activity safety procedures
  • Maintain site safety documentation and reporting
  • Serve as primary safety contact for field operations
