Construction Safety Manager Location: Avondale, AZ Duration: 2 Months (Start: 8/10) Type: 1099 ContractorCompensation & Schedule Pay Rate: $56/hr Per Diem: None Completion Bonus: $150/month Pay Frequency: Weekly Schedule: Monday-Friday | 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM | Approximately 50 Hours Per Week Night ShiftWhy This Opportunity?Join an electrical contractor supporting the construction of a large-scale data center in Avondale, AZ. This role provides hands-on safety leadership for electrical construction activities, ensuring safe work practices while supporting one of the fastest-growing sectors in commercial construction.The Construction Safety Manager will partner closely with electricians, field supervision, and project leadership to oversee electrical installations, material handling, elevated work, and daily construction operations while maintaining compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements.Required Qualifications OSHA 30 Construction Certification 5+ years of construction safety experience Experience supporting electrical contractors Experience conducting field inspections, audits, and compliance monitoring Strong understanding of OSHA construction safety standardsPreferred Qualifications Data center construction experience NFPA 70E knowledge or experience Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) experience Electrical commissioning or energization experience CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credentialWhat You'll Be DoingOversee daily safety activities for electrical construction operationsMaintain a strong field presence alongside electricians and project supervisionConduct routine site inspections, audits, field observations, and risk assessmentsMonitor contractor compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirementsSupport electrical installation, conduit, cable, equipment, and infrastructure activitiesMonitor temporary power and electrical safety practicesReview Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and pre-task plansLead incident investigations and corrective action implementationMaintain safety documentation, reports, inspections, and compliance recordsPartner with project leadership to proactively identify and mitigate hazardsPromote a positive safety culture throughout the projectTechnical KnowledgeCandidates should have working knowledge of:OSHA Construction StandardsElectrical Construction SafetyData Center ConstructionLockout/Tagout (LOTO)NFPA 70E Electrical Safety AwarenessTemporary Power SafetyElectrical Equipment InstallationConduit & Cable InstallationMaterial Handling OperationsFall Protection & Elevated WorkAerial Lifts & MEWPsJob Hazard Analysis (JHA) DevelopmentIncident Investigation & Root Cause AnalysisContractor Safety ManagementConstruction Risk Assessment & MitigationWhat Success Looks LikeThe ideal candidate is a highly visible, field-focused safety professional with strong electrical construction experience who can build positive relationships with electricians, field supervision, and project leadership.
