Prometheus Energetics is an independent U.S.-based merchant supplier of solid rocket motors and warheads. We are a joint venture between Kratos Defense and Security Solutions and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems.
We are currently seeking a Safety Manager to lead and manage all aspects of site safety across a 700+ acre campus that will encompass 49 buildings. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all OSHA, DoD, and ATF safety standards for energetic and explosive materials. The selected individual will play a key role in creating and enforcing policies and procedures that will protect people, products, and facilities.
Responsibilities:
Safety Management
Develop, implement, and oversee safety policies, procedures, and training programs both for general industrial safety as well as specific to handling energetic and explosive materials
Ensure compliance with OSHA, ATF, DoD, and NFPA safety standards
Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, and mitigation plans across manufacturing and test operations
Oversee incident investigations and corrective actions for all safety-related events
Conduct and manage safety audits, inspections, and drills, including explosive safety site plans
Leadership & Compliance
Establish and maintain a culture of safety and security throughout the company
Lead safety training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors
Determine needed resources for safety operations through annual budgeting and capital planning
Support customer, regulatory, and government audits, inspections, and certifications
Serve as key interface with executives, regulators, and customers on safety matters
