The company offers a stable yet growth-oriented environment, a diverse project portfolio, and significant investment in its people through ownership and profit-sharing programs.Job DescriptionThe Superintendent will:Review and inspect project sites to ensure safe work practices and jobsite compliance.Coordinate with project leadership and safety personnel to maintain safe working conditions.Respond to field safety concerns and provide timely guidance to project teams.Conduct safety orientations and ongoing training for new and existing employees.Investigate workplace injuries, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.Promote and reinforce a proactive safety culture across employees, subcontractors, and clients.Develop site-specific safety plans and supporting documentation.Advise project teams on construction health and safety regulations and best practices.Participate in corporate safety initiatives, committees, and safety-related events.Support project teams with safety planning, compliance documentation, and client requirements.Maintain required certifications and complete role-specific training.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantA successful Superintendent should have:5+ years of construction safety experience.Strong understanding of daily construction operations and field activities.Experience supporting excavation, site-work, concrete, and/or civil construction projects.Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.Ability to obtain site badging and potential security clearances as required.OSHA 30 certification.OSHA 510 certification.Progressive experience in skilled trades and/or a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.Strong communication, training, and incident investigation skills.What's On OfferThe Superintendent will receive:Employee-owned organization offering profit sharing, retirement contributions, and long-term wealth-building opportunities.Competitive base salary up to $130,000, with standout candidates considered near the top of the range.Annual discretionary bonus tied to company performance.Opportunity to work on diverse projects throughout the DC Metro region with an established and respected construction team.Comprehensive benefits package including paid holidays, vacation time, cellphone stipend, and retirement benefits that can total up to 15% of W-2 earnings in additional compensation.
