Job Description:
Regional School District 8 is accepting applications for a full time School Safety Officer for RHAM High School and RHAM Middle School. Under the supervision of school and district administration, Safety Officers help foster positive relationships with members of the school community by being a visible presence throughout the schools and school grounds while maintaining a safe and secure school environment. The position is 10 months, 40 hours per week with opportunities for overtime. Compensation for this position will be $25.75 an hour. Shifts will be flexible and may begin as early as 6:45 a.m. and may conclude as late as 6:00 p.m., Typical work days are Monday through Friday, but Safety Officers are sometimes needed at school events taking place on weekends.

The employee must be able to work in heat and cold based on seasonal temperatures inside buildings as well as outside.
Regional School District 8 (RHAM) is a high-performing, regionalized secondary school district serving approximately 1,000 students in grades seven through twelve residing in the towns of Hebron, Andover, and Marlborough. The district consists of one middle school and one high school located on a shared campus in Hebron, CT. The district offers rich academic experiences for students through a robust program of studies, as well as a variety of sports, extracurricular activities, and clubs to provide students with a well-rounded education.
