About the Opportunity
We are seeking a hands-on Safety Specialist to help build and maintain a strong safety culture within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for promoting workplace safety, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting training, and partnering with employees and leadership to proactively identify and reduce risk. The ideal candidate is a collaborative safety professional who can influence positive behaviors while supporting operational success.

Key Responsibilities
Promote a safety-first culture throughout the organization.
Monitor and enforce safety policies and OSHA compliance.
Conduct safety inspections, audits, and job hazard analyses.
Identify and correct unsafe conditions and behaviors.
Lead new hire safety orientations and ongoing employee training.
Maintain safety records, training documentation, SDSs, and incident reports.
Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Facilitate safety committee meetings and safety initiatives.
Manage PPE programs and safety supply inventory.
Track and report key safety metrics and trends.
Support environmental, health, emergency response, and compliance programs.
Partner with HR and Operations on workers' compensation and return-to-work processes.

Required Qualifications
2+ years of safety experience in manufacturing, industrial, or construction environments.
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
Experience conducting safety training programs or toolbox talks.
Strong report writing, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
OSHA 30 Certification.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety or a related field.
Experience with confined spaces, hot work, and powered industrial trucks.
First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
Workers' compensation program experience.
