We are seeking an experienced Safety Specialist to lead and administer company-wide safety programs, regulatory compliance, and training initiatives across multiple locations.

Position Summary:
The Safety Specialist is a system-focused role responsible for documentation, verification, and consistency across all GE Booth operations. This position supports the implementation, reinforcement, and monitoring of safe work practices in field, shop, and operational environments.

This position works closely with Human Resources, Project Management, Operations, and field leadership to promote safe, compliant, and efficient project execution while upholding company values of safety, integrity, collaboration, and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Program Leadership

Support implementation and reinforcement of company safety policies, procedures, and expectations across field and shop operations

Conduct occasional jobsite visits, safety inspections, field observations, and follow-up reviews to verify compliance and corrective actions

Promote a zero-recordable safety culture through coaching, communication, and active employee engagement

Assist field personnel and supervisors with safety questions, documentation, and interpretation of safety expectations

Encourage employee participation in hazard recognition, near-miss reporting, and proactive safety practices

 

Safety Compliance:

Support compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and customer-specific safety requirements

Review safety documentation including daily reports, JSAs, toolbox talks, inspections, and incident reports

Track and maintain accurate, timely, and complete safety records

Prepare documentation for audits, prequalification, and internal reviews

Maintain organized safety files, training records, and SDS documentation

Track open safety items and ensure timely closure

Reinforce the expectation that proper documentation is required for all safety activities

 

Training & Employee Support:

Coordinate and assist with delivery of safety orientations, toolbox talks, and refresher training

Identify training needs based on incidents, trends, and operational changes

Promote safe work practices 

Support onboarding by ensuring completion of safety documentation and training requirements

Communicate safety expectations clearly while fostering accountability and understanding

Incident Response & Corrective Action Support

Maintain reporting and documentation of incidents, near misses, first aid cases, and property damage

Assist with or lead incident investigations as directed, including gathering documentation and evidence

Identify contributing factors and support implementation of corrective actions

Track trends and recurring issues and communicate findings to leadership

Share lessons learned across the organization to prevent recurrence

Inspections, Audits & Continuous Improvement

Conduct internal audits, jobsite evaluations, equipment inspections, and facility walkthroughs

Identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement

Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen safety processes and consistency

Assist in development and refinement of safety forms, tools, and procedures

Ensure audit findings are communicated and resolved effectively

 

Communication & Collaboration:

Maintain strong working relationships with Safety, Operations, HR, Project Management, and field teams

Promote a “One Team" culture through collaboration and shared accountability

Address safety concerns and documentation gaps in a professional and constructive manner

Coordinate across departments to ensure consistent application of safety expectations

Represent the company professionally while reinforcing core values

 

Other Duties:

Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support company safety and operational objectives

 

Qualifications:

3–5 years of safety experience

Working knowledge of OSHA standards and safety practices

Familiarity with customer-specific safety requirements preferred

Strong organizational and documentation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Effective written and verbal communication skills

Ability to identify hazards and communicate corrective actions clearly and professionally

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management systems

Ability to travel to project sites as needed

Valid driver’s license and ability to meet site access requirements

OSHA 30 certification preferred; additional certifications are a plus
