How You Can Make an Impact
The Safety Support Technician needs to be a motivated, detail-oriented, and observant individual who has a passion for safety. This position has a strong understanding of the importance of safety and what it means to the construction industry.

This entry-level position plays an important role in ensuring that safety equipment and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) are properly maintained, inspected, inventoried, and distributed. The position will also support the Safety Department with field coverage and various safety-related duties when needed. This position requires frequent travel throughout California, including overnight stays as required.

How You Will Contribute
  • Manage and track rubber goods inventory including insulating gloves and sleeves
  • Perform inspections of rubber goods in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain inspection records and documentation for rubber goods and safety equipment.
  • Maintain inventory and inspection schedules for safety-related assets including: AEDs, Air monitors, First aid kits, Fire extinguishers, Spill kits, and Emergency response equipment.
  • Identify damaged or expired equipment and coordinate replacement.
  • Maintain organized storage and tracking of safety equipment.
  • Deliver PPE and safety equipment to field crews and office locations.
  • Assist with issuing safety equipment to employees.
  • Support PPE inventory management and restocking.
  • Ensure proper documentation of issued equipment.
  • Support safety department with scheduled inspections of company shops and yards.
  • Identify safety hazards and report findings to Safety Management.
  • Track and follow up on corrective actions when assigned.
  • Support housekeeping and safety compliance initiatives.
  • Assist the Safety Department with field coverage when needed.
  • Support Field Safety Technicians and Field Safety Specialists.
  • Assist with High Energy Control Assessments (HECA) when assigned.
  • Assist with incident response support when directed.
  • Report malfunctioning or damaged equipment to appropriate parties.
  • Respond to emergency situations when required.
  • Support safety meetings and training events as needed.
  • Travel to all locations on a regular basis.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table
  • Valid Class C Driver License with no driving restrictions; Class A Preferred.
  • Ability to travel extensively including overnight stays.
  • Ability to drive for extended periods of time.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • Basic understanding of construction safety.
  • Knowledge of Cal/OSHA or OSHA standards.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to inspect equipment preferred

Your Prior Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum: 2 years of experience in construction, safety, or warehouse/inventory roles. Utility construction experience a plus.

Our Competitive Package
Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
This pay range is our competitive compensation at the time of this job posting. Your pay will be determined based on experience, education, skills, and applicable knowledge.

Successful applicants must pass a drug screen and background check before beginning employment. While performing duties of this job, employees must be able to regularly sit or stand, movement to include, but not limited to, walking, bending, stooping, climbing stairs and ladders up to 12” feet, reaching above/below shoulder, crouching, carrying, pushing, and pulling a maximum of 40 pounds.
