Hiring Immediately Safety Trainer - Auburn University
Transdev is seeking a Safety Trainer at its Auburn University location. The ideal candidate is responsible for performing classroom and behind the wheel training, to include, but not limited to the Operator Development Program, remedial training, new equipment familiarization training and conducting safety meetings. The safety trainer will provide all bus operators with the knowledge of how to be safe while on a bus or not as well as facilitate classroom training and behind the wheel training to drivers. The safety trainer will also provide on the spot coaching and mentoring for new drivers based upon key safety indicators. The Safety Trainer reports to the Manager of Safety and Training and the General Manager to ensure compliance of training materials and the efficient delivery of the safety programs.

Responsibilities:
Have a clear understanding of the rules when it comes to OSHA and HIPPA
Be able to assist with hiring process and filing of time sensitive paperwork.
Be able to assist with routine bus accident reports and assist with investigation paperwork.
Provide classroom and/or behind the wheel training to new operators or re training of current operators. May provide other training to location personnel.
Track attendees and maintains training documentation based on regulations and company policy.
Maintain required training documentation and completions for compliance with state certification, company policies and district/state/federal requirements.
Evaluates performance of new drivers and existing location personnel for the purpose of ensuring that basic skill levels are met and comply with state, federal, and company certification requirement.
Participates in various activities (i.e.. meetings, trainings, etc.) for the purpose of receiving and/or conveying information.
Coordinates and schedules driver training dates/times based on individual and location needs.
May modify delivery of safety and driver training based on company policy, individual trainee needs and location.
Will evaluate performance of new drivers and existing personal and communicate results to safety leadership at location to assist in hiring process.
Performs related work as required and other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work Microsoft
Must be able to send and receive emails.
Valid CDL class B with passenger and airbrake endorsements.
Must be able to type 35 wpm.
Exceptional customer service skills
Ability to lead a team.
Ability to successfully negotiate.
Excellent multitasking ability and possess excellent time management skills.
Must be able to work flexible hours.
Prefer one-year supervisory experience.
