Ensures accurate patient data collection at registration to promote patient safety, facilitate timely payments, and deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include greeting and escorting patients, verifying demographic and insurance information, adhering to SOPs and supporting tools, identifying and explaining patient financial responsibilities, screening self-pay patients, assisting with installment plans, and ensuring compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements.
Maintains performance standards related to quality, collections, customer service, and productivity, working effectively with team members and other departments.
Minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred; familiarity with patient access systems; strong customer service and communication skills; comfort with collections and uninsured patient solutions; knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
Work location is in Fall River, MA, with evening shifts, including every other weekend. No driving required. Union position.
