Leveraging the knowledge earned from a decade of lifestyle publishing and tapping into the fervent enthusiasm for NCAA basketball, Hoops HQ is a joint venture between a broadcast journalist and the executive team at InsideHook, where the voice, access, and insider perspective of the journalist take shape in the form of stories, interviews, betting tips, and analysis covering the college basketball scene 365 days/year. Newsletter, web and social are the distribution channels and are setting the table for audio, consumer video, event, and B2B activations in year two.

Job Overview

InsideHook and Hoops HQ are seeking an Account Executive  to join our rapidly growing team. We are looking for a driven sales professional with strong existing relationships to grow business, create new advertising partnerships, and develop innovative experiences for new and existing clients. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, self-motivated, results-driven, and strategic,  with a proven track record of closing significant deals in the digital media space.

Responsibilities: 

  • Drive revenue growth and identify new business opportunities for InsideHook and Hoops HQ 

  • Grow existing accounts while identifying new markets and partnership opportunities

  • Partner with the VP of Revenue to craft and execute strategic plans to meet and exceed revenue and budget goals

  • Work closely with the Creative, Content, and Product teams to enhance client value propositions and contribute to custom content strategies 

  • Collaborate with the Audience and Creative teams to provide partners with valuable insights  and reporting 

  • Provide regular pipeline updates and accurate forecasting to leadership 

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers at both client and company levels

What you bring:

  • Minimum 5 years of digital media sales experience with demonstrated success

  • Proven history of meeting and exceeding revenue targets 

  • Speak modern advertising approaches with a focus on content, email and event marketing, data solutions, and PMP 

  • Strong relationships with decision makers with clients and agencies 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Confidence and experience in leading complex negotiations

  • Experience with strategic planning and market analysis

  • Ability to stay current with industry and market trends, evolving technology, and identify unique opportunities

  • Experience with lifestyle, culture or sports media brands is a plus

Pay Transparency

The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay for this position at the time of this posting. Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.
