Our company has a 75+ year legacy as a premier seafood processor and market leader across our regional territory. We are looking for a high-energy, passionate **Sales Account Manager** to join our seasoned, collaborative team based out of our state-of-the-art facility!
COMPENSATION & PERKS
Starting Base Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 (negotiable based on your experience and book of business).
Year 1 Realistic OTE: $60,000 – $85,000.
Uncapped Upside: Start on base + commission with the opportunity to transition into a highly lucrative full-commission model as your territory grows!
Travel Perk: Up to $400/month in mileage reimbursement for territory travel.
LOGISTICS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Location: On-site out of our corporate office, mixed with regular local field travel. (No remote work available).
Territory Covered: Regional multi-state distribution territory.
Working Hours: Dynamic and customer-dependent.
WHAT YOU'LL DO (JOB RESPONSIBILITIES)
As a full-lifecycle Account Manager, you will handle both hunting new business and farming your accounts:
Hunt New Opportunities: Research local restaurant menus, identify fresh accounts, handle cold outreach, and close deals.
Build Relationships: Act as a consultant to chefs, restaurants, hospitality groups, and retail accounts, aligning our high-quality products with their menus.
️Own the Operations: Over-communicate and collaborate daily with our internal buyers, processing crew, and customer service teams to fulfill exact client specs.
Proactive Problem Solving: Manage daily product substitutions and last-minute supply changes smoothly before the delivery truck arrives.
Forecast & Track: Build annual sales plans and track your territory's metrics by sales dollars, margins, and total pounds moved.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (REQUIREMENTS)
-The Food Factor: A background in the food industry is required. Seafood background is strongly preferred, but broadline food distribution, produce, poultry, meat, or culinary/chef backgrounds are highly welcome. A genuine passion for food is non-negotiable!
-Sales DNA: Flexible on years of experience for the right person, but we love to see a proven history in full lifecycle B2B sales.
-The "Mini-Owner" Mindset: Exceptional grit, self-motivation, and absolute integrity. You don't give up when things go sideways.
-Tech Comfort: Basic math skills and familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience with data analytics or industry ERPs is a huge plus.
