Sales Administrative Assistant

Location: Wixom, MI

Pay Rate: $28.00–$30.00/hour

Schedule: Full-time

Position Type: Long-term Contract

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sales Assistant to join our team in Wixom, MI. In this role, you will support the sales team by processing customer orders, maintaining accurate records, and serving as a primary point of contact for customers and internal departments. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and communication are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding customer support by responding to inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
  • Process customer orders accurately while verifying order and shipping details.
  • Communicate with customers, vendors, and internal teams regarding order status and updates.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, order history, and account information within CRM and ERP systems.
  • Coordinate with sales, logistics, production, and accounting teams to resolve order discrepancies, shipping delays, and product-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of company products, specifications, and pricing.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including document preparation, filing, and database maintenance.
  • Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong customer service mindset.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Experience using CRM and ERP systems.
  • Previous experience with SAP or SAP S/4HANA.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in sales support, customer service, or order entry.
  • Experience within the automotive supply or manufacturing industry.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds without assistance.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
  • Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
