Job Title: Sales Administrator

Job Description

This in-office Sales Administrator role focuses on delivering high-quality service to customers while providing comprehensive support to the outside sales team. You will generate accurate quotes, process and review customer orders, and serve as a key liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure a smooth and positive experience throughout the sales cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Generate accurate and timely quotes for customers based on their requirements and available products.
  • Process, review, and edit customer orders to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with company policies.
  • Manage customer relationships by clearly communicating lead times, setting expectations, and addressing perceptions and concerns.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve issues, answer questions, and ensure customers receive appropriate service.
  • Educate assigned accounts and business partners on available products, features, and solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with assigned accounts and business partners to support long-term partnerships.
  • Proactively identify new opportunities within existing customer accounts and other segments of those accounts.
  • Prepare, create, and maintain reports using Microsoft Excel to support sales activities and decision-making.
  • Perform data entry and administrative support tasks to keep customer records, orders, and documentation accurate and up to date.
  • Collaborate effectively with the outside sales team and other colleagues to support shared goals and deliver consistent customer service.

Essential Skills

  • Associates degree and 1+ years of sales support or administrative experience, or a high school diploma and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Accurate and efficient data entry skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in sales support, sales administration, or administrative support roles.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks such as quoting, order processing, and customer communication in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and professional telephone manner.
  • Clear and effective written communication skills for emails, documentation, and reporting.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and maintain reports, is preferred.
  • Telecommunication industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Previous experience working with internal cross-functional teams such as operations, production, or customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and business partners.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts.

Work Environment

This is a fully onsite position, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The role primarily involves computer-based work in an office setting within a manufacturing facility that performs light-duty assembly. Approximately 260 people work onsite, creating a busy and collaborative environment. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
