Sales Application Engineer – Industrial Power Generation Systems

We are a leading global company specializing in engineering, manufacturing, and distributing innovative solutions across Air & Fluid Transfer, NVH, Complex Structural, Acoustic, and Thermal Management. Partnering with world-renowned OEMs, we deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions that meet strict customer requirements and environmental standards.

While maintaining a strong, long-standing legacy in the medium and heavy-duty Commercial Truck and On-Highway vehicle spaces, this division is experiencing explosive growth within the Industrial Large-Engine Power Generation sector. Our mission-critical exhaust, acoustics, and after-treatment systems span an array of high-demand global markets, including:
• Data Centers & Hyperscalers (Critical backup infrastructure)
• Industrial Power Generation & Distributed Energy
• Combined Heat & Power (CHP) Systems
• Marine, Mining, Oil & Gas Power Systems

We are seeking a Sales Application Engineer to provide technical product design and integration, ensuring products meet customer specifications while maintaining high standards of reliability and manufacturability within these fast-paced industries.

Three Awesome Reasons to Work Here:

Front and Center in a Massive Growth Story: Work with a nimble global leader that is actively disrupting the industrial infrastructure market, doubling its division size year-over-year by supplying major OEMs powering the global data center boom.
Zero Bureaucracy, True Empowerment: Leave the slow-moving corporate red tape and endless approval layers behind. This company features a flat management structure where you are the direct leader of how you execute your work.
True Global Reach: Direct engineering projects across a fluid international ecosystem, collaborating with design and manufacturing teams spanning the US, India, Poland, Brazil, and Australia.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Act as the Engine Point of Contact: Collaborate with account managers and blue-chip customers (world-renowned engine manufacturers and tier-power providers) to develop system layouts and resolve system-level engineering requirements.
• Design & Integrate Large-Scale Systems: Design and integrate complex industrial exhaust and after-treatment products (including silencers, large tubes, bellows, DOC, and SCR systems) for high-demand industrial power gen and data center applications.
• Own the Technical Proposal Ecosystem: Create and maintain detailed models, system-level Bills of Materials, and 2D print specifications for custom configuration packages valued between $100K and $1M.
• Coordinate Advanced Engineering Support: Lead cross-functional technical work, including mechanical design, FEA (Finite Element Analysis), CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) analyses, acoustical, flow, thermal, and vibration testing, drafting, and prototypes.
• Optimize Globally, Deliver Locally: Work closely with international manufacturing teams to implement DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and cost reduction, coordinating design controlled in the US/India with production hubs in Poland and India.
• Manage Project Lifecycles: Maintain and manage project schedules, review and approve customer print conformance, perform on-site customer testing/technical reviews, and handle 25% to 50% travel based on your home location.

What You Need for This Position:

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• Foundational Knowledge: Solid understanding of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, back-pressure, and thermal dynamics.
• Design Toolkit: 2+ years of experience in product design using solid modeling tools (Inventor or similar CAD modeling platforms).
• Project Leadership: Strong project management skills, comfortable driving timelines across multiple departments.

We'd be REALLY excited if you have:

• Exhaust & After-treatment Expertise: Direct familiarity with structural exhaust components, insulation thermal products, or electromechanical dosing ecosystems (pumps, injectors, sensors).
• Compliance Awareness: Basic knowledge of emission control frameworks, including EPA Level 2, Level 3, and Tier 4 Final compliance standards.
• System Exposure: Understanding of vehicle chassis systems, large industrial gensets, or acoustics/NVH product design.

What's In It for You: In addition to a competitive salary ($75k - $95k) and benefits package, including medical, dental, vision insurance, 401K with company match, and paid time off, you will have the opportunity to work with a global leader in engineering solutions. You will be part of a dynamic team focused on innovation, sustainability, and delivering high-quality products to customers around the world.
