Caviness Beef Packers is seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Associate for our Corporate Office in downtown Amarillo. This internal opportunity is ideal for an individual who understands our products and processes and is looking to grow within a fast-paced wholesale beef distribution environment. This role focuses on building and managing customer relationships across retailers and foodservice operators, with a strong emphasis on product knowledge, specifications, and internal process understanding. Success in this role is driven by the ability to execute, communicate, and support customers through a deep understanding of our operations.
KeyResponsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Sell beef products using detailed product and specification knowledge
- Serve as a resource on cuts, specs, yields, and program offerings
- Manage accounts, including order entry, follow-up, and issue resolution
- Act as a key link between customers, production, and logistics to ensure execution
- Take ownership of orders from entry through delivery to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Coordinate with operations, production scheduling, and logistics to ensure fulfillment
- Align customer demand with production capabilities and inventory
- Identify opportunities to grow accounts through service and product knowledge
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience in beef sales or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of beef cuts, specifications, and Caviness processes preferred
- Understanding of production flow, scheduling, and product capabilities is a plus
- Familiarity with internal systems, order flow, and plant communication processes preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Ideal for candidates with experience in operations, production, or scheduling looking to transition into a sales role
