Job DescriptionWe are hiring team members for our Oaks/Phoenixville location. Team members will be acting as cashiers/sales associates; managing all customer transactions with efficiency and a smile. Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to customer service, daily chores, and restocking. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service and/or retail position and some knowledge of cash registers and POS systems (we use Square). Open availability is strongly preferred, as are applicants with a background in customer service. Priority interviews will be given to candidates with strong resumes, references, and experience that relates to our industry. Responsibilities- Manage transactions with customers using cash or credit
- Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
- Issue receipts, handle refunds/exchanges where warranted
- Redeem stamps and coupons
- Cross-sell/upsell products and introduce new ones
- Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
- Greet customers when they enter the store and bid farewell when they leave
- Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
- Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
- Bag, box, or wrap packages
- Restocking and unpacking new stock
- Be a team player
- Respond to coaching
- Have a functioning phone and reliable transportation
Skills- Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales
- Basic PC/smartphone knowledge
- Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS
- Good math skills
- Good reading comprehension and retention
- Ability to multitask
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Customer satisfaction-oriented
- High school diploma/GED or above
- Digital skills welcome (photoshop, social media marketing, etc.)
- Artisan/craft skills welcome (textiles, painting, jewelry making, glassblowing)
