Job Description


We are hiring team members for our Sanatoga/Pottstown location. Team members will be performing duties as cashiers/sales associates; managing all customer transactions with efficiency and a smile. Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to customer service, daily chores, and restocking. To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience in a customer service and/or retail position and some knowledge of cash registers and POS systems (we use Square). Open availability is strongly preferred, as are applicants with a background in customer service. Priority interviews will be given to candidates with strong resumes, references, and experience that relates to our industry. Responsibilities

• Manage transactions with customers using cash or credit
• Scan goods and ensure pricing is accurate
• Issue receipts, handle refunds/exchanges where warranted
• Redeem stamps and coupons
• Cross-sell/upsell products and introduce new ones
• Resolve customer complaints, guide them and provide relevant information
• Greet customers when they enter the store and bid farewell when they leave
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
• Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
• Bag, box, or wrap packages
• Restocking and unpacking new stock
• Be a team player
• Respond to coaching
• Have a working phone and reliable transportation

Skills

• Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar role in sales
• Basic PC/smartphone knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic equipment, like cash register and POS
• Good math skills
• Good reading comprehension and retention
• Ability to multitask
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Customer satisfaction-oriented
• High school diploma/GED or above
• Digital skills welcome (photoshop, social media marketing, etc.)
• Artisan/craft skills welcome (textiles, painting, jewelry making, glassblowing)
