Overview:

The ETF team at GTS is currently growing and we are looking to add  a Sales Associate to the team. The Sales Associate supports a sell-side ETF sales and trading desk by assisting in client coverage, order execution, and ETF liquidity solutions. The role requires a strong understanding of ETF market structure, sell-side trading workflows, and primary-market dynamics, with daily interaction across internal traders, salespeople and clients across our client channels.

 

This position is designed for a candidate developing toward a full sales trader role, with exposure to ETF execution strategy, capital markets activity, and institutional client service.

Responsibilities:

Sales Trading & Order Flow

  • Support senior ETF sales traders in handling institutional client order flow, RFQs, and client coverage
  • Provide clients with real-time market color, liquidity insight, and execution guidance.
  • Monitor and manage transactions from clients and assist the desk with client communications.

 

Client Coverage & Desk Support

  • Serve as a day-to-day contact for institutional investors, RIAs, hedge funds, and platforms.
  • Prepare trade recaps, execution analysis, and client follow-ups.
  • Support client onboarding, product education, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Partner closely with trading and internal teams to align trading
Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or related discipline.
  • 1–5 years of experience on a sell-side trading, sales trading desk or in a sales or capital market role at an ETF issuer with ETF exposure.
  • Solid understanding of ETF structure, AP roles, market makers, and liquidity mechanics.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and traders.
  • High attention to detail and ability to operate in a fast-paced trading environment.

Preferred

  • Experience with agency ETF trading, block trading, or capital markets support.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg, OMS/EMS platforms, and trade reporting systems.
  • FINRA licenses (Series 7, 63/65) 
  • Exposure to fixed income ETFs, active ETFs, or derivatives-linked ETF strategies.

In accordance with New York City's Pay Transparency Law, the base salary range for this role is $90,000 to $150,000. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits.
