    Job Description


    The Sales Associate is responsible for helping customers find products that meet their needs, converting customer demand into sales, and supporting the daily operations of the store.

    Core Responsibilities

    Customer Service & Sales

    • Greet customers promptly and professionally.
    • Discover customer needs, preferences, budget, and timeline.
    • Recommend products that fit the customer's needs.
    • Explain product features, financing options, warranties, and delivery services.
    • Answer customer questions in person and over the phone.
    • Process financing applications and explain available payment options.
    • Accept and process customer payments accurately.
    • Prepare quotes, complete sales transactions, and maintain customer records.
    • Schedule customer deliveries and coordinate order fulfillment.
    • Follow company policies regarding up rotation and commission splits.
    • Follow up with customers when appropriate.

    Sales Performance

    • Achieve individual and store sales goals.
    • Improve closing percentage and average ticket.
    • Promote warranties and other value-added services when appropriate.
    • Maintain accurate customer information and documentation.

    Store Operations

    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized showroom.
    • Tag, price, and merchandise inventory according to company standards.
    • Hang, maintain, and replace point-of-purchase (POP) materials and promotional signage.
    • Rearrange the sales floor and move merchandise as directed.
    • Assemble, maintain, and move furniture displays and showroom setups.
    • Assist with receiving and unloading incoming trucks and verifying merchandise received.
    • Assist with loading customer purchases and delivery orders.
    • Stock merchandise and maintain accurate inventory presentation.
    • Learn new products, promotions, systems, and company procedures.
    • Communicate customer feedback and operational issues to management.
    • Support local marketing efforts by creating and maintaining online marketplace listings and setting up, maintaining, and displaying outdoor advertising materials, promotional signage, flags, and inflatable displays.
    • Participate in special sales events, tent sales, after-hours events, community events, grand openings, and other promotional activities as required to support store operations, customer service, and business performance.

    Teamwork & Meetings

    • Work cooperatively with other team members and support overall store operations.
    • Participate in required training and continuous learning opportunities.
    • Attend the company-wide Saturday conference call from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM unless otherwise approved by management.
    • Attend the Manager Huddle from either in person or remotely when required by management.
    • Attend all other required company meetings, training sessions, and events, both remotely and in person, as scheduled.
    • Assist in other areas of the business as needed to support store performance and customer satisfaction.

    Qualifications & Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Strong communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Basic math skills for calculating sales, discounts, financing, and payments.
    • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

    Basic Computer Skills

    • Email and internet browsing
    • Point-of-sale systems
    • Entering customer information, quotes, and invoices
    • Financing and company software platforms
    • Operating tablets, computers, and mobile devices used in daily operations

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to lift, move, and assemble furniture, with assistance when necessary.
    • Ability to assist with loading and unloading merchandise.
    • Ability to perform merchandising, tagging, cleaning, and housekeeping tasks.
    • Ability to safely operate equipment and tools required for store operations.

    25-Day Introductory Trial Period

    All new Sales Associates begin with a 25-calendar-day introductory trial period. During this period, management will evaluate attendance, reliability, coachability, sales performance, customer service, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.

    Employment may be ended at any time during the trial period if performance or overall job fit does not meet company expectations. Completion of the trial period does not guarantee continued employment or alter the at-will employment relationship.
    Compensation: $40,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
