As an Automotive Sales Associate, you will guide customers through the vehicle-buying process, build lasting customer relationships, and achieve sales goals while maintaining high standards for customer satisfaction.

Qualifications\n
- \n
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- \n
- Minimum 6 months of verifiable dealership sales experience required
- \n
- Valid California Vehicle Salesperson License required
- \n
- Valid driver's license and eligibility for coverage under the company's insurance policy
- \n
- Bilingual skills preferred, but not required
- \n
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- \n
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced sales environment
- \n
- Team-oriented, flexible, professional, and results-driven
- \n
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- \n
- Must be able to satisfy applicable pre-employment requirements, which may include background, motor vehicle record, and drug screening

Key Responsibilities\n
- \n
- Greet customers entering the showroom or sales lot and provide professional assistance.
- \n
- Identify customer needs by asking questions and listening carefully to their preferences.
- \n
- Help customers select appropriate vehicles and recommend alternatives when necessary.
- \n
- Maintain current knowledge of inventory, vehicle features, technology, accessories, and automotive industry terminology.
- \n
- Provide thorough vehicle presentations and product demonstrations.
- \n
- Offer and coordinate test drives in accordance with dealership procedures.
- \n
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
- \n
- Use dealership sales, CRM, and follow-up systems to manage prospects and customer relationships.
- \n
- Ensure the Sales Manager has an opportunity to meet each customer.
- \n
- Maintain knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local requirements governing retail automotive sales.
- \n
- Explain vehicle values, equity, and depreciation to customers when appropriate.
- \n
- Assist with transitioning completed sales to the Finance Manager and ensure required paperwork and documentation are complete.
- \n
- Coordinate vehicle preparation before delivery, including cleanliness, fuel, and verification that vehicle features are operational.
- \n
- Deliver sold vehicles and explain operating features, warranties, and applicable paperwork to customers.
- \n
- Introduce customers to the Service Department and assist with scheduling their first service appointment.
- \n
- Follow up on post-delivery items, including registration/title matters, “we-owes,” and special customer requests.
- \n
- Maintain an active prospect-development and follow-up process.
- \n
- Attend required in-person and remote sales meetings.
- \n
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional sales environment.
- \n
- Complete sales orders and related paperwork according to dealership procedures.
- \n
- Review sales activity and performance with the Sales Manager to identify opportunities for improvement.
- \n
- Maintain a professional appearance and represent California Motor Direct positively.
- \n
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Compensation\n
Estimated Annual Earnings: $60,000–$130,000
\n
Actual earnings may vary based on individual sales performance and the applicable compensation plan.
