Position Overview:

The Sales Associate is responsible for delivering excellent customer service while supporting daily retail operations. This role greets customers, processes purchases accurately at the point of sale, maintains an organized register area, and promotes company programs in accordance with company standards. The position also supports inventory and stocking activities, assists with store operations, and completes additional duties as assigned by leadership.

 

This position is located in Staten Island, New York.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers, offer assistance, and provide excellent customer service.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system and process transactions accurately using various forms of payment.
• Promote company programs, including loyalty and credit initiatives, in accordance with company standards.
• Maintain accuracy in inventory processes, merchandise handling, and point-of-sale procedures.
• Assist with daily store operations, including register balancing, replenishing supplies, and maintaining an organized work area.
• Support and train new team members on service standards, procedures, and company expectations.
• Follow company policies, safety guidelines, and operational standards while working collaboratively with the team.
• Perform stocking duties and other responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months to 1 year of experience in a retail, cashier, customer service, or other customer-facing role.
• Experience operating a point-of-sale (POS) system and handling cash and credit card transactions.
• Experience assisting customers, resolving customer inquiries, stocking merchandise, and working in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Must be dependable with a strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay Range: USD $17.00 - USD $17.00 /Hr.
