Required Qualifications
- 4–10 years of successful outside sales experience in the local Chicago Northwest Suburbs market.
- Experience selling in manufacturing industry, industrial sector, OEM market, or equipment manufacturing companies is mandatory
- Proven experience in: New business development, Territory sales, Lead generation, Cold calling, Customer acquisition, B2B Technical Sales
- Experience selling: Technology solutions, Industrial equipment, Automation solutions, Manufacturing software, IT services, Engineering solutions
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills
- Ability to independently manage a local sales territory
- Valid driver's license
- Develop and manage a sales territory focused on OEMs, manufacturers, and industrial businesses
- Identify, prospect, and acquire new customers through: Cold calling, Field Sales, Business visits, Networking, Referrals
- Conduct face-to-face meetings with: Owners, Plant Managers, Operations Managers, Engineering Managers, Purchasing Managers, Technical decision-makers
- Promote and sell technology solutions, industrial products, automation solutions, software, or related services
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and solution discussions
- Manage the complete sales cycle from prospecting through closing
- Maintain accurate CRM records including: Customer activity, Sales opportunities, Forecasts, Pipeline updates
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives
- Monitor manufacturing industry trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities
Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Associate (Outside Sales Representative) to expand our customer base within the manufacturing industry, including OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), industrial manufacturers, equipment manufacturers, and small-to-medium-sized businesses (SMBs) throughout the Chicago Northwest Suburbs.
This is a field-based sales role focused on identifying new opportunities, developing relationships with manufacturing decision-makers, and selling technology-driven solutions that improve customer operations.
Location: Rolling Meadows, Illinois
Territory: Within 25–50-mile radius of Rolling Meadows, IL
Pay rate: $15/hr (Fixed)
Incentives: $1000 to $2500 per client acquisition – subject to the variable of product sold.
Transportation: Company car provided for sales calls.
