Job Summary
Provide customer service in a self-service store by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties
• Provide prompt, courteous customer service. • Ring up all sales on the POS system properly and accurately, handling money, checks, and other types of payment received for products sold. • Cleaning duties necessary to maintain site cleanliness inside and out, and basic upkeep/cleaning of all equipment on the site. • Inspect site facilities and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and proper working order. • Contact maintenance for repairs when needed. • Receives and verifies vendor deliveries. • Controls merchandise, cash shortages, and other selling expenses. • Assists in maintaining proper inventory levels and shift audits. • Performs all duties with minimal supervision. • Assist the Manager or Assistant Manager with daily paperwork by being in attendance for verification of figures, cash, etc.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Ability to work with the equipment, tools, and materials listed. • Ability to work rotating shifts. • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. • Ability to write simple correspondence. • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Customer Service
Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; Responds promptly to customer needs.
Education and/or Experience
• High School diploma or GED. • Experience in retail sales preferred. • Testing may be required.
Physical Demands
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Pay and Benefits
By our policy and procedure manual, newly hired employees pay shall be set to at least the minimum value of the pay schedule to which the position has been allocated according to our Pay schedule based on education and experience, but pay shall not exceed the midpoint for the pay grade.
