Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable and knowledgeable Stock Clerk to support appliance and HVAC parts operations in Tontitown. This position combines inventory and warehouse responsibilities with customer service, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who understands appliance parts, HVAC equipment, or related products.
The ideal candidate is organized, comfortable assisting customers over the phone, and capable of identifying and locating the correct parts or equipment. Previous forklift experience is a plus.
Required Experience & Skills
Knowledge of appliance parts, HVAC equipment, or related products strongly preferred
Ability to answer incoming phone calls and assist with parts and equipment questions
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to organize, identify, and maintain inventory accurately
Comfortable working in both warehouse and customer service environments
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist customers and callers with questions regarding appliance parts and HVAC equipment
Identify and locate parts or equipment based on customer needs
Answer incoming phone calls professionally and provide knowledgeable assistance
Receive and stock inventory replenishments as shipments arrive from Little Rock
Organize parts, appliances, and HVAC equipment in designated inventory locations
Monitor inventory and help maintain accurate stock levels
Pull parts and equipment for customer orders or internal needs
Assist with receiving, unloading, and organizing incoming merchandise
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe stockroom and warehouse area
Support additional warehouse and inventory duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience with appliance parts or HVAC equipment
Parts counter, stock clerk, warehouse, or inventory experience
Customer service experience, particularly assisting customers by phone
Forklift experience is a plus
Familiarity with inventory organization and parts identification
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the warehouse during the workday
Ability to safely handle and move inventory as required
Comfortable working around appliances, HVAC equipment, warehouse materials, and material-handling equipment
Ability to safely operate a forklift if qualified and assigned
Work Environment
Combination of stockroom, warehouse, and customer service responsibilities
Regular interaction with appliance parts and HVAC equipment
Occasional inventory replenishment shipments requiring receiving and stocking duties
Team-oriented environment requiring strong organization, product knowledge, and customer service
