SALES COMMERCIAL I LFS

Summary:

LFS is seeking an experienced sales representative to join our team. Your primary role will be to drive sales and revenue by building strong, long-term customer relationships in the commercial fishing community.

• Understands the gear types used in commercial fishing in WA and AK waters.
• Can explain the differences in materials, durability, and performance of netting materials.
• Recommend gear based on vessel type, target species, fishing method, and regional conditions.
• Manage existing accounts while actively prospecting for new customers.
• Talk with commercial customers on the sales floor and by phone.
• Manage and grow customer relationships.
• Investigates and resolves customer problems.

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week, year-round benefited position. 

Pay range is $30-$35 per hour. This is an office, onsite position.

Minimum Requirements 

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

• Associate degree (AA) from two-year college or university; or one to two years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Proven sales experience.
• Effective communication skills (in person, phone, written) and the ability to build rapport with clients.

Preferred education and experience

• Commercial fishing experience.
• Knowledge of marine and/or industrial product lines.

 Work environment:

• Desk in commercial area on sales floor.
• The noise level is moderate.

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit or stand; use a keyboard and talk or listen. The employee is occasionally required to walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to thirty pounds.
