This position is fast paced demanding and requires time management skills and concentration. The Sales Coordinator - Intermodal has a vast array of responsibilities and is exposed to all aspects of transportation intermodal and brokerage operations. \t Responsibilities\t Help maintain rail schedules railroad and dray company cost and accessorials.Monitor freight activity and take appropriate action to resolve problems in order to ensure a high level of error free and on-time service.Secure and execution of dray capacity for unplannedplaned dray moves.Other duties and projects as assigned.Develop strong working relationships with customers and vendors.Manage customer trailer pools and movement of equipment to avoid storage or detention costs and assist in the general accountability of equipment.Help maintain vendor profile information.Provide customer service including any special reporting or customer website compliance.Work directly with ArcBest Sales and Intermodal Carrier Sales Representatives to secure shipments.Coordinate with other employees drivers rail carriers and outside vendors to prevent potential problems and provide service to our customers.Ensure that shipments are correctly rated and that all payables are posted. \t Requirements\t EducationBachelor\s Degree preferredExperience will be considered in lieu of formal education.ExperiencePrior intermodal operations experience preferredComputer SkillsProficient with Microsoft Office Suite preferredCompetenciesData Gathering and ReportingDecision Making and Critical ThinkingDeveloping OthersNegotiatingOperational FunctionsPerformance ManagementRelationship ManagementResource Management\t Other Details Work HoursGenerally 800 am - 500 pm with occasional irregular hours depending on workload.
