We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our Outside Sales team in Hilo or Kona, HI. Imagine working in a location where the natural beauty of Hawaii is your backdrop. This role offers the unique opportunity to travel and expand our footprint in emerging markets, primarily in rural areas, contributing to the growth strategy of DoorDash.

As an Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (aGML) for Emerging Markets, you will be responsible for acquiring new business across your assigned geography. You will travel to emerging markets and manage a largely transactional deal cycle to drive new partnerships with local and regional restaurants. This is a field sales position with most transactions being conducted face-to-face.

  • Travel throughout the territory is required, with most travel within 2 hours of the city hired for. Some overnights and longer travel days (6-7 hours driving or a plane flight) may be necessary.
  • Travel costs will be covered by the company, and travel will be monitored to ensure compliance.

Requirements

  • 2.5 years of sales experience, preferably in a closing sales role or related experience.
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time to meet with restaurant owners.

  • Experience selling to SMBs, especially in the restaurant or food/beverage industry.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience building strategies and playbooks for scalable success.
