Compensation:
  • Fixed hourly pay rate (details to be provided by the hiring manager).
  • In addition to base compensation, this role offers uncapped commission opportunities for each new restaurant partnership signed.
  • The On-Target Earnings (OTE) for commissions is approximately $1,900 per month, with the opportunity to exceed this amount based on performance.
Description:
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Associate, Growth Merchant Lead (aGML) to join the Emerging Markets Outside Sales team. This role is responsible for driving new restaurant partnerships across assigned territories by identifying, prospecting, and closing business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent relationship-building skills, and experience working directly with small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), preferably within the restaurant or food and beverage industry.
This is a field sales position where most sales activities are conducted face-to-face with restaurant owners. The candidate will travel throughout assigned territories to expand market presence, negotiate partnership agreements, and contribute to overall business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel throughout assigned emerging markets to identify and acquire new restaurant partners.
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings with restaurant owners and decision-makers to present partnership opportunities.
  • Manage a high-volume, transactional sales cycle and close new business opportunities quickly.
  • Educate restaurant owners on the value proposition and benefits of partnering with the company.
  • Negotiate partnership agreements, including revenue share arrangements.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting, networking, referrals, and territory planning.
  • Partner closely with the Regional Sales Manager to execute territory growth strategies.
  • Utilize sales tools, marketing materials, gift cards, business cards, and other resources to support business development efforts.
  • Track sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress within company systems.
  • Represent the company professionally while building long-term relationships with local and regional businesses.
  • Meet and exceed monthly partnership and revenue targets.
Qualifications:
  • 2.5+ years of sales experience in a closing sales role or similar customer-facing sales environment.
  • Proven success in acquiring and closing new business opportunities.
  • Experience selling to Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) preferred.
  • Restaurant, hospitality, food and beverage, advertising, merchant services, or local business sales experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage both inside sales and outside sales activities effectively.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively throughout assigned territories.
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time, including overnight travel when required.
