Our award-winning Farmers Insurance agency is looking for a motivated Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our team in Downey, California.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in sales. As an SDR, you'll be the first point of contact for prospective customers, helping qualify leads and connecting them with our licensed Insurance Producers.
This is not a closing role. Your mission is to create qualified sales opportunities by making outbound calls, engaging prospects, gathering information, and performing warm transfers to our sales team.
Top-performing SDRs will have the opportunity to advance into a licensed Insurance Producer position with increased earning potential.
Salary Range: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Responsibilities
- Contact new online leads within minutes of receiving them.
- Make outbound calls to internet leads, quote requests, referrals, and marketing leads.
- Follow up with X-date prospects and renewal opportunities.
- Contact existing customers regarding cross-sell opportunities for home, auto, renters, umbrella, and life insurance.
- Build rapport and create a positive first impression of our agency.
- Gather the information needed for accurate insurance quotes.
- Qualify prospects based on our agency guidelines.
- Perform warm transfers to licensed Insurance Producers.
- Schedule appointments when appropriate.
- Document all conversations accurately in our CRM.
- Follow up with prospects through calls, text messages, and email.
- Help ensure every lead receives timely and professional follow-up.
Requirements
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Friendly, energetic, and confident on the phone.
- Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls every day.
