The Role

As a Sales Development Representative at Apptegy, you will create meaningful connections between school leaders and our team. You will execute high-volume, multi-channel prospecting across phone, email, video, and conferences; research accounts; and use AI thoughtfully to personalize outreach, improve efficiency, and generate healthy pipeline for the sales team.

You will work closely with your manager, teammates, and Account Executives to build interest, schedule qualified demos, share prospect insights, and help advance opportunities in your territory. Success in this role requires disciplined execution, resilience, curiosity, clear communication, coachability, and a willingness to test new approaches and apply feedback quickly.

What You'll Do

• Execute high-volume, multi-channel prospecting through cold calls, email, and conferences, including approximately 80 dials per day and potentially travel to conferences 1-2 times per month.
• Research accounts, identify pain points and root causes, and determine what will compel a prospect to engage and meet with Apptegy using proven frameworks.
• Generate qualified leads and healthy pipeline while consistently working toward meeting and exceeding quarterly quotas through disciplined execution and personal accountability.
• Partner closely with Account Executives in assigned territories, sharing prospect intelligence and helping advance opportunities.
• Use AI thoughtfully and responsibly to improve account research, personalization, efficiency, and effectiveness.
• Participate actively in call reviews, drills, and coaching; apply feedback quickly, test creative approaches, and adapt based on prospect responses.
• Communicate clearly and proactively with prospects, teammates, Account Executives, and cross-functional partners while contributing to a high-performing team.

• A four-year college degree or comparable continuous work experience with an impressive track record of success.

• Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and cross-functional partners.
• Curiosity and problem-solving ability, with an interest in understanding what matters to a prospect and why they should meet with us.
• Coachability, resilience, and a willingness to apply feedback quickly, challenge yourself, and consistently raise your own bar.
• Experience in outbound prospecting, sales development, customer-facing work, or another high-accountability environment is helpful, but not required.

Compensation Notice: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $45,000-$50,000, depending on qualifications, experience, location, and other job related factors.
