POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Development Representative is responsible for conducting inbound and outbound lead outreach, prospecting, qualifying leads, and scheduling meetings. This position works closely with the Sales and Marketing departments to move prospects through the sales funnel to supply qualified leads to the sales representatives. The Sales Development Representative will utilize and maintain all prospect interaction and data in the Salesforce CRM.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute outreach activities through various methods of communication (phone calls, emails, etc.) to outbound and inbound leads.
  • Leverage Salesforce CRM and other sales tools to effectively communicate, prospect, and document activities.
  • Develop and route for approval effective email templates and phone scripts for communication outreach.
  • Maintain appropriate communication cadence and develop sales sequences.
  • Achieve weekly/monthly metrics for activities including phone appointments, scheduled meetings, total activities, etc.
  • Prospect leads via internet, practice websites, industry publications, trade associations, and other methods to gather pertinent data relative to the lead.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to refine lead generation process and sales strategy.
  • Participate in daily huddle and weekly one-on-one meetings with management.

Required:

  • Organized and process-oriented with excellent time management skills for scheduling activities, meetings, and managing calendars.
  • Ability to be resilient in the face of obstacles and determination to meet and exceed goals.
  • Ability to be a flexible team player amidst changing goals, market conditions, and assignments.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with internal stakeholders and prospects. Must possess strong reading, writing, and typing skills.
  • Self-motivated, continual learner who can initiate independent research.
  • Fluent in business computer skills (Email, Microsoft Word and Excel, Internet/Google searches, business social media including LinkedIn, etc.).
  • 1-year B2B sales experience.
  • The ability to travel throughout the U.S. at a minimum of 5%.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 1-year capital equipment, medical device, or pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • 1-year working in Healthcare or Medical Device industry.
  • Experience using software platforms to manage projects, sales, and/or, contact information, such as Salesforce CRM, ZoomInfo, etc.
